The Tijuana & Tecate Railroad provides the following public transportation services by railroad 
FREIGHT and PASSENGERS 
as well as its Auxiliary Services.

RAILROAD FREIGHT PUBLIC SERVICE

  • General freight transportation.
  • Transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Personal attention.
  • Diseños de servicio según las necesidades.
  • Daily service (operation hours 8:00 to 19:00 Hrs.)
  • Coverage: Tijuana, Tecate, Playas de Rosarito and Ensenada.
  • Double stowage from Tijuana and Tecate to Mexicali (101.28 miles.)
  • Container freight service in process.

Forest Wood and agglomerates.
Farm products for people and animal consumption. Birdseed, canola, rice, barley, beans, gluten, corn oil, oilseeds, grains, lentil, corn, malt, sorghum, soy, etc...

RAILROAD PASSENGER PUBLIC SERVICE

The San Diego Railroad Museum (SDRM), a non lucrative association, for the preservation and diffusion of the railroad history in the US, run by Pacific Southwest Railway Museum who organizes tourist excursions since 1983 from Campo, CA to Tecate Baja California.

From 2004 to 2009 hundreds of tourists on board the Museum Train arrive to Tecate Station and visited the town of Tecate.

Actually this train is not operating to Tecate due to rail and tunnel maintenance. For other trips on Campo check www.psrm.org

  • Cultural Activities

    Tren Educativo Tecate - Lindero

For the purpose of promoting the railroad history and culture of our State this kind or activities are planned with the cooperation of the Museum Train.

Consists on a trip of 6.2 miles, crossing part of Tecate going east.

Departs from Tecate Station, located on the back of the brewery Km. 60+000 of the railway and arrives to tunnel #3 located in Lindero (Km. 70+000).

Visit the old Tecate Station

Working with the Culture Institute of Baja California ICBC, groups of students visit the Station, with staff of this institute, who tell a brief historical review of the building, the students and visitor can look the building interiors.
