TIJUANA & TECATE TOURIST TRAIN!

CONCESSIONAIRE                                                                                               

The Tijuana & Tecate Railroad runs on the General Communications Railway named Vía Corta Tijuana-Tecate (T&T Short-Line), with a length of 44.38 miles, across the cities of Tijuana and Tecate, and crosses in both ends the border to the United States.

The Government of Baja California obtains exclusively from the Federal Government, through the Communications and Transportations Ministry (SCT) the following:

1.  Assignation of the Tijuana & Tecate Short-Line / April 1st. 2000
   * Rail Freight Public Service
   * Auxiliary Services

2. Assignation for Railroad Passengers Service / January 23rd. 2002

3. Assignation for the construction of the Tecate - Ensenada Railroad  / June 12th. 2002

The Administradora de la Vía Corta Tijuana-Tecate (ADMICARGA) a State Government Agency is founded on September 1st. 2000, sectioned at the State Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, SIDUE.

ADMICARGA, has for objective to safeguard the operations and maintenance of the Tijuana & Tecate Short-Line, the infrastructure projects to provide the public transportation services assigned, for both freight and passengers, as well to other projects on virtue of its function assigned to it.

Our mission is to substantially support the activities of the productive sector of the State, mostly  to the Cities of Tijuana and Tecate, through railroad services in benefit of the economic development of the State de Baja California.
